Green Workplace successfully implemented large-scale pre-rinse spray valve energy efficiency campaigns
for BC Hydro and the City of Vancouver. Our spray valve eco campaigns have resulted in the installation of
over 2,700 water, energy and greenhouse gas saving Pre-Rinse Spray Valves across the Lower Mainland of B.C.
We know the many challenges involved in managing city-wide and multi-city greening projects including:

BOMA GoGreen Energy Audit Pilot Project, Vancouver BC, 2006
Green Workplace staff, working with the Environmental Youth Alliance, organized the training of 2 junior energy assessors for a pilot project hosted by the Building, Owners and Managers Association of BC. Green Workplace coordinated the services of a professional engineer who trained the eco auditors and reviewed their findings. This project resulted in eco audit assessments of 20 commercial buildings with over
1.1 million square feet of gross commercial floor area. The recommended energy conservation measures
(ECMs) included replacing out-of-date equipment, the upgrade or optimization of building controls and
improved lighting efficiency. All ECMs combined would reduce energy consumption by 32 000 GJ and reduce
1,150 tonnes of CO2 annually.
