SOME EXAMPLES OF OUR CLIENTS’ SUCCESS:
Adera Development Corp has embraced corporate environmental responsibility. By switching to 100% PCW recycled office paper and envelopes, Adera will annually conserve:
- 57 trees
- 1,278 kg of solid waste
- 2.6 tonnes of greenhouse gases
- 96,368 litres of effluent
- 1,050 g of carcinogens
Adera now purchases recycled, reusable and recyclable office consumables. They are reducing office garbage by diverting kitchen waste using a Naturemill™ composter and have implemented a successful office cell phone and battery recycling program.
Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is driving corporate environmental responsibility leadership in the
legal profession. BLG efforts include having:
- replaced conventional coffee with locally-roasted, fair-trade organic coffee, promoting
sustainable agriculture and greatly reducing packaging - installed a low-flow dishwashing spray nozzle, reducing related cafeteria hot water use by 43%
- phased out environmentally unfriendly cleaning products with green alternatives
- replaced cafeteria Styrofoam with biodegradable containers
- stipulated the use of low VOC, non-toxic paints for office renovations
Capers is synonymous with corporate environmental responsibility and the Capers Robson store
worked with Green Workplace to replace their incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent lights and
decommissioned 30% of their MR16 track lights during closing hours. These 2 actions helped them
save $582 in energy savings and 1 tonne of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
