Lighting Audit Report:
Identify and Reduce Energy Consumption

The Green Workplace Lighting Audit Report, generated from our lighting audit tools, is a comprehensive and concise baseline summary of the lighting-related electrical consumption in a business facility. An inventory of various lighting types, including their consumption and hours of operation, is summarized in table format. The lighting audit contains a cost-benefit analysis of every lighting type for which an energy efficient upgrade is available. This includes incandescent lighting, inefficient fluorescent lighting, metal halide lamps and exit signs. The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from lighting use are calculated and reported on, using region-specific data to calculate emissions.
Data from lighting audits can be used as a benchmark to set measurable reductions and/or to offset emissions using carbon offsets. Where applicable, the Green Workplace lighting audit report will calculate potential savings and rebates offered by regional utilities or service providers that could offset the cost of lighting retrofit. For many businesses, lighting audits represent a ‘low hanging fruit’ opportunity to reduce emissions at a relatively low cost, with a very short payback time as well as noticeable improvements in the lighting conditions of the facility being upgraded.
